(Elora, ON.) – On Saturday September 19th, 2009 at about 3:35pm County of Wellington OPP responded to a reported assault that had occurred in Elora.
Officers spoke to the victim; Don Bride aged 76 years of Elora who reported that he was at the laundry mat on Geddes Street, Elora at about 9:30am with his tenant. The victim reported that an argument escalated and the tenant pushed him down to the ground, and then hit him with his walking cane. The victim sustained scratches and bruising from the assault.
Rosemarie Reid aged 32 years has been charged with Assault with a Weapon and Assault under the Criminal Code of Canada. Reid is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on October 26th, 2009 to answer to the charges.
